Junk Mail now offers Traders / Businesses the option to register an account that has fantastic benefits for managing an online advertising strategy.

1. Registering an Account

How do I register?

 

 

You can register by clicking the “Register” link provided on our home page www.junkmail.co.za. You will be directed to an easy-to-complete registration form. Simply complete it and click on “Get Registered”. You will then be sent an email to activate your account. Click on the verification link within that email to activate/confirm your account.

Ok you have registered your business … what is next?

To get the full trade account and all it’s benefits you have to complete some details regarding your company.  Once you click the activation link for the email as described above you will be taken to your new Trader Dashboard.  There is a simple form you have to compete in order to create your Trader Site and get listed in the Trader Directory.  The form is called “My Trader Services”.

Once this form is completed and submitted you will be able to access your full Trader Dashboard and use all the awesome functionality.

2. Account Login

How do I login?

 

 

On the home page there is a “Login” link that will take you to the login page where you will be required to enter your chosen username and password. If you aren’t able to login, verify your credentials and make sure that you have verified your account.

 

 

Alternatively, click here to login to your account.

3. Account Verification

How do I verify my account?

When you register your account, you are required to provide an email address. In order to verify the authenticity of your email address, we send each new user a verification email. In that email is a link to verify your account.

What if I’ve lost my verification email?

 

 

If you have accidentally lost your verification email, you can request a new one. Simply go to the Login page and enter your email address and password and click on “Login Now!”. A message (in red) will appear providing you with a link to request a new verification email.

Alternatively, you can request a new verification email by contacting the webmaster. Be sure to include the email address that you used to sign up for the account. The webmaster can then resend the verification email for your account.

4. Username and Password Recovery

What if I’ve lost my username?

You can request a new verification email by contacting the webmaster. Be sure to include the email address that you used to sign up for the account. The webmaster can then resend the verification email for your account.

What if I’ve lost my password?

No problem. Just click here and enter your email address. A link to reset your password will be sent to your your email address.

 

 

Alternatively, go to the Login page where you will see a blue bar just below the “Login Now!” button. Here you will find a link to recover your password. On the next page enter your email address and click “Submit”.

 

 

You will now receive an email with a link that directs you to a page to easily reset your password.

 

 

 

5. The Trade Account Dashboard

The first tab of your account is called Dashboard that gives you a quick summary of everything happening in your account.  From statistics to company details and responses to ads.

The My Ads tab is the ad management tab.  This tab gives you full control of your adverts making it easy to manage your online advertising strategry.

 

There are 4 sub-tabs in the “My Ads” tab:

  • Active Ads
  • Deactivated Ads
  • Associate Ads
  • Bulk Edit

All your active ads will show in the Active Ads tab while all your inactive ads will show in the Deactivated Ads tab. When you deactivate an active ad it will appear in the Deactivated Ads tab and will be removed from search relusts. If you Activate an advert from the Deactivated Ads tab it will appear in the Active Ads tab and appear in the search results.

To view your inactive ads simply click on the Deactivated Ads tab. If you want to view your active ads again simply click on the Active Ads tab.

To associate ads that you might have placed before getting the account you have to click on the Associate Ads sub-tab and associate the ads with your new account.  You will also have to associate ads with your account if you place them while being logged out.

The Bulk Edit functionality allows you to edit adverts quickly and easily and in bulk. All you need to do is select all the adverts you would like to edit at once by checking the check boxes on the left of each ad image, and theck click on the Bulk Edit link. This will open the Bulk Edit sub-tab where you will be able to edit ad titles, ad text and ad prices in bulk.

At the bottom of each ad you will see the following buttons to manage your ads depending on what sub tab you are:

  • Edit
  • Activate
  • Deactivate
  • Repeat
  • Delete
  • Flag for Trader Gallery

 
The “Flag for Trader Gallery” button allows Premium Traders to select up to 5 ads per day they would like to be displayed in the “Hot Deals” spot of search results for a specific Region and Sub-Category.

Once clicked the ad will be visible in the “Hot Deals” section for the Region and Sub-Category the ad was placed in.

The My Inbox tab

The My Inbox tab is where you will be able to view and manage all the responses to your adverts and Trader Site and all the alerts you receive.

There are 2 sub-tabs in the “My Inbox” tab:

  • Responses
  • Alert Inbox

The Responses sub-tab holds all the responses you received on adverts and from your Trader Site contact form while the Alert Inbox sub-tab holds all the alerts that were triggered.

 

The My Statistics tab

This tab gives you a view of how many responses and views your ads got broken down into web and mobile and per day, week and month.

The My Preferences tab

This tab allows you to set your communication and security preferences.

The My Alerts tab

This tab allows you to set up and manage email alerts.  An email alert can be set up if you wish to be notified of new ads that are placed in a region, category etc. of your choice.  The alerts that were triggered is viewable fin the My Inbox tab.

The My Trader Services tab

This tab is a summary of your Trader Services that give you a quick look into more statistics, allows you to update your business details and manage your adverts’ positioning in your Trader Site

There are 3 sub-tabs in the “My Trader Services” tab:

  • Trader Statistics
  • Manage Trader
  • My Ads Positioning

The Trader Statistics sub-tab gives you a quick overview of visits to your trader site, views of your ads and ad count broken down to ad status and category.  The Manage Trader allows you to update your business details if they ever change.  The My Ads Positioning helps you set the positioning of the ads that are displayed on your Trader Site.

The My Profile tab

This tab allows you to complete your personal profile including your name, surname, landline, email and mobile phone number.

 

Your Trader Site

When you complete the “My Trader Services” tab on sign up you will immediately get your own Trader Site on a unique URL.  You can visit your Trader Site by clicking on the “Visit Trader Site” button underneath the tabs menu of your account dashboard.

The Trader Sites is your showroom that users can visit when they browse the Trader Directory.  Users will be able to see all your adverts, your contact details, logo, location and business name on this page.

You are able to share your own Trader Site link/URL with all your clients so that they will be able to see all the services and products.
